What guitar fx processor would you recommend?
I’m currently using a BOSS GT-6, but I’m interested in switching to a rackmounted effects unit.
I know the BOSS GT-PRO is excellent, but I really don’t need all of the amp modelling and distortions…my amp is quite nice all on it’s own.
I’ve checked out some units from TC Electronics but most of them are more expensive than I’d prefer.
Any help in this matter would be great.
That all depends on what you are looking for. Do you like the dirty channel on you amp? Does it have a dirty channel?
If you’re looking for modulation like chorus, flanger, tremolo along with delay and reverb fx and dont want to spend too much I’d recommend the T.C Electronics G-Sharp. If you are looking for something with amp modeling in it as well and on a budget, the Behringer V-Amp Pro is really good for its price range. Like I said, it all depends on how you want to shape your tone and the style of music you play.
I own a Fender Deville 212 and use analog fx pedals. I run my mod fx throught the FX Loop on the amp and for my distortion I switch between the amps channel or my Vox Satchurator Distortion.
