Guitar/Lead/Amp Buzzing?
Just recently my ibanez grg-170dx with peavy backstage amp started buzzing for no reason. Its not the guitar (switched between pickups and muted strings and didnt change (a little less buzzing when i took it off the single pickup but thats normal)) and im fairly sure its not the amp but how can i be sure? I wiped the lead and cleaned the ports of dust Ect. but its still there. Im not sure and dont want to go and waste money if its something i can fix myself???
If you’ve ruled out the guitar, and you’re pretty sure it’s not the amp, then that only leaves the cable.
Get yourself another cable and try that (you should have a spare anyway). It sounds like the ground connection broke at one of the connectors.
