Can someone help me with Guitar skill building?
I’m a junior in high school and my grades are gradually declining. My self esteem is down and it’s time to start applying for collages and choosing a career path. I don’t know where I want to go with my life so I’ve decided I want to major in something I love, music. I have been playing guitar for 2 years and have hit a wall of stopped progression. I am having trouble playing solos. they sound decent but I would like to get good enough to the point where things sound flawless. I’d like to be able to pick any pattern or solo cleanly. Does any experienced guitarist have some advice for building my skills so I can pursue a career in music? Could you post some exercises for picking and skill building perhaps? Thanks.
There comes a point where you can’t teach yourself anymore and you should just invest in some guitar lessons from a private teacher. If othing else take a Few theory classes.
