Which of these guitars are better?
I’ve been looking for a good metal electric guitar for about a year now, and after carefully looking for a year found the Dean Custom 350 (Natural) and the Dean Vendetta 1000. They both are about the same other than that the Vendetta 1000 has a solid mahogany body while the Custom 350 has a basswood backed body with a flamed maple top. I kind of like the custom 350 more, because the headstock looks batter to me than that of the Vendetta 1000. Don’t post anything until you see the links!

They are both very similar. The Vendetta 1000 has a Mahogony body which in my opinion is a good piece of wood. The other one says it has a basswood back and a flamed maple top, but doesn’t say what the body is made of. Other than that, the specs on the 2 are very similar and it boils down to what you prefer for comfort, feel, playability and sound. But they are both cheap guitars, so don’t expect them to perform like very expensive guitars.
The headstock design on each is really irrelevant to the quality of the guitar. The Vendetta has side by side tuners which makes the neck more prone to twisting as well as pulling forwards or backwards. But with regular maintenance, they should both be fine.
