Can a POD XT guitar effects pedal be plugged directly into an amplifier?
I am thinking about getting one but I don’t know if it can directly be plugged into my amp.
It will work. It’s not the optimal way to do it, but a lot of players use PODs that way.
The ideal setup is to plug the POD into the Effects Return or Power Amp In jack on your amp (if it has one). You then bypass the preamp and tone stack…you’re essentially using your guitar amp as a power amp at that point.
If you don’t have these access points, then set your amp up for a clean tone and set the tone controls to flat.
