How can you tell what kind of neck you have on your guitar?
I got a used guitar a little while ago for $150.00…I just got it because my old one broke and I needed it because I was doing a small gig soon, but it actually surprised me by how good it felt and how well I played on it. I’m looking to buy a new guitar, the white Schecter C1-FR (not to be confused with the Hellraiser C1-FR). But the Schecter guitar that I want has a bolt-on neck. All I want to know is a way to tell what kind of neck I have currently set on my cheap used guitar, because I like the sound of it and want to maintain that sound. It has a plate with four screws on the back of the body, in the same place that the neck goes into the body. But I think I might also see some glue – I’m not sure though because I was in the dark while looking at it. So basically, how can I tell what kind of neck I have on my current cheap guitar. Is it a set neck or a bolt-on? Best Answer gets 10 points, Thanks!
it’s definitely a bolt-on…most all electric guitars use bolt-on necks. as far as there being any glue on it, that wouldn’t change the fact that it’s a bolt-on…as, there’s no bolts in a set neck at all.
