Freq Boost Treble


  • What Should I set my Amplifier settings too?

    I just recently installed a 12 inch alpine type r subwoofer at 2ohms, And the amp I am using to power it is the alpine MRP-M500, and I am not sure what I should be setting the gain too, the bass boost to or the lp filter too. I am also using the alpine cde-102 headunit with the alpine type s 6-1/2 sps 600 coaxial speakers. Also on my headunit I have the option to tweak the HPF to 60,80,100 or just have it off and I can also change the bass and treble freq. Any help would be appreciated on what I should be setting everything too. Oh and I’m looking for it to sound loud and clean

    well here’s what you need to do. put all your settings on 0 on your head unit. set it at the volume you normally listen to it with the bass on the amp turned down completely. then move your gain were it sounds good to your liking. bass boost as well. the filter usually between 80-100 hertz for a 12 inch sub.
