Should I use a PA to run all the band equipment through or use seperate amps for each instrument?
We’ve got a 500w PA and it is plenty loud enough for most venues. My main worry is if we should just buy new cabs and heads for each instrument or just continue the way we have been? We have 3 mics, 2 guitars(acoustic and electric) and a bass running through it. We play everything from folk to metal.
if it sounds good then go with it, that’s all that matters really.
A PA will normally provide a much better overall sound than just individual amps and will be easier to get the sound you want out of it.Since you already have one, i would use it.
