  guitar strap wont work for thunderbird?
  

  hi there,
  i was wondering if anyone owns a thunderbird bass epiphone/gibson and if when they use a strap on it, when they wear it does the neck end slide down and doesnt support itself
  because i just have a normal non leather guitar strap and its been happening to it but when i use that strap on another guitar it holds the neck up fine as in it doesnt jsut slant down

  so if anyone could help thatd be handy

  It’s neckdive, the fatal flaw of Thunderbirds due to the weight distibution. It can be helped by using the right strap, and/or moving the strap locks for better distribution, or you can just get used to having to prop it up all the time.

  I ultimatly just went with the option of selling mine (it was too cumbersome for long gigs IMO) and buying a Yamaha BB1200, but you don’t need to do that far.
