Telecaster Pickup Question?
I am going to get new pickups for my telecaster and I don’t know which pickups to get. I have a MIM telecaster and i love the sound in the bridge pickup but i would like the neck pickup to have a more full sound. I am considering the Fender Vintage Noiseless Pickups but I am not sure if this would just cancel the humming and not increase the quality of the sound. I have heard about Seymour Duncan pickups, among others. What I would really like would be to keep the twang sound but make the neck pickup sound heavier. I play blues-rock, hard rock, and some heavy metal. Any and all help is appreciated!
I have a Fender JA-90 Telecaster, and I have a Seymour Duncan P-93 in the neck. It gives off exactly what your looking for. The “JA” part stands for Jim Adkins, Jimmy Eat Worlds lead guitarist/vocalist, so the pickup is great for that and a lot more. You just cant beat the sound and possibilities with this pick-up. And it keeps the twang and sounds great on every channel from clean to distortion, here is a link if you want to take a look.
