Need advise on buying a 2005 custom fender?
Can anyone tell me whats the difference in fender stratocaster custom and regular?
I saw a few on ebay going for twice as much as a fender stratocaster usa.
They look both same guitar except one is call stratocaster custom.
I have been wanting a fender usa model, I found a fender custom stratocaster 2005, Asking price was 979, I got them down to 700.
Its black with I guess a rosewood, I dont guess they use ebony on any stratocaster. She also say that doesnt have a whammy and has chrome lipstick pick up. and the guitar was only play five times.
Is 700 a good deal? What can you tell me about these guitars, what kind of wood on body and standard and custom body woods the same.
Well, without a tremelo bridge and with lipstick pick-ups, it’s not really a Strat. The lipstick pick-ups make it a Custom, unless somebody installed them after it was sold. Why don’t you come up with an extra $200 and get a new USA Strat from musiciansfriend.com or elderly.com (they do a free set-up). You can get a USA “Highway One” for $750 new.
