Anyone out there rate this axe?
My Squier Fender Strat is slowly falling apart after many years of active service and I am after forking out for a replacement instrument. I have approx £500 for a replacement and I am looking seriously at this:-

Since most guitarists are the fussiest people in the world when it comes to their weapon of choice I would be interesested in peoples views/choices/advice.
I play mostly lead rock running thru no end of stomp boxes and occasionally Blues stuff.

In my own opinion; This type of guitar will have a different feel that I think you may either accept as a good enough replacement because it will be perfect for the styles of guitar playing that you do enoy.
OR!
Being so used to a strat style guitar may make you feel like it’s not enough as far as looks, and the feel your used to, but give it time and this style of guitar may give a really good view to why Les Paul, Jimmy Page, and so many other great guitarists used them. You should also know as well as I that Gibson is very highly rated, and although this is not a Gibson; It will have some of the many same feels and style of feel to your playing in some way.
I personally say go for it!!!!! Can’t go wrong, and you can always sell it; Maybe for more?
This guitar you mentioned would be great for Rock or Blues which Eric Clapton used this style for blues; How about Peter Framton? Check his guitars out; One of his albums when he was much younger shows a Maroon Red guitar with the name: Electra that had 3 pickups; My very first guitar ever was an Electra with just 2 pickups which I later replaced with 2 super distortion plus DiMarzeo’s. I hope this helped, as I to day have a Kramer, a Jackson and a Yahmaha acustic. My favorite? All in there own way. I say go for it!
