fender stainless steel string or fender pure nickel strings they are both .10
what do you think is better for barre chords,bright,not get rust and not broke easily?I’ve got nickel on my Strat right now, but I’ve used stainless in the past. I prefer the sound of the nickel, but I don’t hate the stainless. But I’m also a lousy guitarist, so keep that in mind.
I don’t think the type of string is going to make that much difference as far as ease of playing. Neither one should rust, especially in the time they’re going to be on the guitar.
A set of strings is pretty cheap, and if you’ve got a strat or a tele, it’s easy to restring. Why not buy a set of each, play one for a couple of weeks or a month, and then try the other? That’s really the only way you can find out which ones work best for you.
