i have a fender squire strat i want to customize…?
i i was wondering can i go to a wood shop and have them customize the neck
like do some cool designs on the neck
and possibly sand paper the the squire logo off and put some custom name on it insteador can i swap out the neck all together
if this will risk the sound and playability i wont do anything
also can i change out the face plate for a lime green or something

You can sand off the logo and paint on anything you want without affecting the playability. I would not do physical alterations to the neck itself. That can be done if either you or the person doing the alterations really has some guitar building experience. Since you have none. This is a bad idea. There are so many ways you can screw up a good neck. it is simply too risky unless you really know what can and cannot be done. Swapping out the neck may or may not be possible without some modifications to the neck or the body. What model Squier do you have? That makes a difference. There is a lot of difference between the various models of Squier guitars. Also I would need to know just what neck you are considering using before I could say how much of a problem putting that neck on and getting the guitar set up to be playable would be. Change the pickguard? Sure. If you can find a lime green pickguard go ahead. Most likely the 11 holes for the screws that hold the pickguard to the body will not line up with your present holes. That is very common. So you can expect to have to fill the present holes and make new ones for the new pickguard.
