Guitar modifications pickups/tuneing …advice on both?
i have a fender strat (not stratocaster) which i bought from a pawn shop, everyone tells me to upgrade to a MIM but I love everyhting about this guitar.
The things I want to mod are; fix the tuners so that they stay in tune longer…ive seen these tuneing lockers on Ibanez guitars, like the JEM, that make the strings stay in tune loner. Ive been looking around for them but I dont really know what they are called. Any one got any adviceAlso I want to replace the bridge pick up with a humbucker, i know im gonna have to mod the pickguard and maybe the body but im willing.
I just want to get the blusies bassiest dirtiest/warmest humbucker i can find in there…any one got any sugestions?thanks for any help
if you want it to stay in tune longer just restring it with new strings
