Problems with my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe?
Hi yahoo world. My problem is this: I purchased a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amp from ebay about 8 months ago (therefore I do not know how old the amp is, or the tubes.) Recently, when playing low frequencies the amp has had a lot of cracking or breaking up (not the good kind). By low frequencies I mean only notes on the low E string. This problem occurs at all volumes and seems to occur more when playing chords over playing single notes. Up until now, I have had nothing but a positive experience with this amp. Any thoughts on what might be causing the problem? Please don’t reply if you don’t have an actual guitar experience or knowledge (I am quite capable I’ve Googleing myself). Thanks.
