Is a Fender Highway one HSS strat a good guitar?
I am looking for a new electric guitar, right now i play a beginners guitar. I am looking for a guitar in the 500 to 900 dollar price range, and i saw the highway one. Should i get this guitar since it’s american, or should i just get a mexican strat? Also if you have any other suggestions please let me know. Thanks!
P.S I like to play classic rock, such as led zeppelin and van halen, and other groups like that.
HSS is a very versatile guitar. Strats in general are versatile but adding the humbucker pickup makes it even more useful. I have a Lonestar Strat for the 90′s, and it was years before I needed a Gibson type guitar. It sounds pretty good for Van Halen, but Led Zep usually sounds a lot better on my Les Paul. Except the stuff Jimmy Page recorded with a strat:)
I have a Mexican Strat that I now hate. The quality sucks compared to the American Lonestar. I also have a made in China Strat that is even worse than the MIM.
