What pickguard do i need to turn my strat into an HSS?
I have a 04/05 Fender Standard Stratocaster. I want to swap out my bridge pickup for a humbucker.
What pickguard do i need? How much do you think a guitar tech will charge to install it?
Most importantly i’m not sure which pickguard i need to buy because i’m looking at samash and musicians friend and the HSS one’s are specific to fat strats and lone star strats and i’m not sure if it will fit. Thanks for readingHey Tim,

We’re also doing free standard shipping right now.
As far as installation, it really can vary and can be hard to estimate since we aren’t in that business. You can expect probably $60 – $70, although if they need to do any routing of the body cavity that would drive the price up. Your best bet would be to check with a local store and see if they can do it or or have any suggestions on where to go.
