is it a problem on ibanez electric-acoustic guitars that they don’t have a pickguard?
i am purchasing an ibanez exotic wood electric-acoustic on monday, but i am worried that there is no pickguard? will i ruin the guitar or scuff it up? and if it is a problem, can i take it to a shop and have them put one on? thanks!
it depends on how you play. I have a very neat picking style and hardly hit by pickguard. However if you play ridiculously hard and sloppy you probably do need one. You will ruin your body and hate yourself for it. I would get it no matter what. Especially since a scratched up front body looks horrible during gigs. Hope this helps.
