What is exactly is a PUK code/pin and how do I fix this?
I was messing with my cell phone. It wanted a pin number. I’ve never set one so I decided to go to settings and see if I could set it or change it or whatever. Somehow it ended up blocking me after incorrect pins and now it is saying PUK blocked. It won’t let me do anything on my phone. I need my phone. This is really making me mad. How can it block me from my own phone? If I let it sit awhile will this go away like if you have to many incorrect pins on an ATM and it blocks the account for a period of time? If it helps, I have an LG CU515 and AT&T is my provider. Thanks ahead of time!
Thank you. I just looked online and saw the same thing. I think it’s ridiculous that it doesn’t tell you how to obtain the PUK code or warn you what will happen if there are too many incorrect pins. I’ve never been told about this once and now I have to cough up $25. This is absolutely crazy. I’m pissed.gummi if you entered your pincode incorrectly 10 times and it asked you for a PUK code and you entered that incorrectly 5 times you have burned your sim card and will need to purchase a new one. They run $25 and are available anywhere ATT service is sold. Once a sim is blocked there is no way to unblock it.
The PIN for your phone was set as a default and the number is available in your manual. The PUK code is sim card specific and only ATT can provide it for you. This can also be provided through the mywireless website.
