Is this a good invention?
A double neck guitar with one being a four-string bass and one being a 6-string electric. It will have two seperate input to connect two different bass and guitar amps. This purpose of this invention is for people who want to play a part of a song as a guitar and then switch to a bass without setting down a guitar and picking up another. One guitar will just be slightly lower than the other.
That would be cool. But I have seen guitars that look like that, at least the concept, a double neck.
Check and make sure no one has already patented it first.
It is risky to put your idea on here before you actually get it patented, because someone can steal your ideas really quickly.
BTW, I have looked into getting a paten on several of my own ideas. First you have to draw a detailed picture of your invention. Then you write down what you do with your invention and how it will be useful.
Then you can go to the Patten office yourself for about $1,000 and get a patent. However, Patten laws are complex and if you don’t have a college degree in law, you will have a much better chance with a paten agent or patent attorney. An Attorney would be your best bet to be successful. He would know more than an agent. But a Patten Agent will charge around $5,000 and an Attorney will charge about $10,000.
Then you have to take it to court and tell the judge your idea and “Plead your case”, for lack of a better word or phrase. It will be just like regular criminal court– at least in concept. You tell the judge your idea and he will say yes or no; I will or will not approve your paten.
If it is rejected, you can appeal to a higher court for another Ten Thousand dollars. Or you can revise your idea and go back to the lower court and try again.
When Edison invented the phone, he thought it would be a useless piece of junk and no one would ever buy it. But he patented it any way.
I still have a ton of ideas and no money, so I have not been able to attempt to get a paten yet. I will later.
