What multi-effects pedal should I get?
I have a Vox Valvetronix AD30VT 30W amp. It’s pretty great, but the effects it comes with just don’t do it for me. Also, I’m starting to record some stuff and I really need to be able to get my own distinctive tone and sound. I’m looking into Boss Muti effect pedals but I really can’t tell which one is right for me. The Gt-8 GT-10 ME-20 ME-50 and ME-70 all look so good, but I don’t really see the pro’s and con’s of each one. I have about 500 dollars to spend, but would really prefer not to spend it all, especially if I didn’t have to. And what’s the difference between a Guitar Multi Effects pedal, and a Guitar Effects Processor anyway?
I have an ME-70 sounds good fun to use. I was going to buy the GT-10 because you can create tones with it, if you tweak it. For you I would say buy the GT-10. But if you just want to try them get the ME70 first.

There is a big difference between stompboxes and multiboxes.
The thing about multiboxes is that sometimes all of the effects arent so great, and you are stuck with them, instead of being able to change it out for a better one, like with individual stomp boxes.My other problem with it is that, you spend way too much time tweaking than playing, just so that you can get the sound the way you want. I usually get bored with my ME70 and use my DS-1 instead. Plus a multibox never sounds the same twice. It will always sound different.
My last gripe with multiboxes is that the effects have to go through so many different circuits and chips and it kind of makes it sound shitty when using mulitple effects at the same time.
Im selling my ME-70 and buying seperate boxes. It was my first multibox and im not impressed. Mulitboxes aint all bad though, they are ok for recording, but not live, or even when your playing for fun.
