guitar pick better than a penny?
For years I was a die hard fan of using Dunlop nylon 73mm guitar picks on electric guitar. But I recently took up the guitar after stopping for several years. I didn’t have any picks around so I picked up a penny and used that. It turns out that the type of attack and tone I get surpasses the thin pluck of plastic. I do alot of country style picking and snapping combined with bluesy rock style leads.
Anyone know of a pick that compares to using a penny? I ask this because a penny lacks one thing I need and that’s a point that allows me to do fast picking runs.
Personal preference really. You can use a penny, work fine
I would just go to a guitar shop and look for the thickest pick there
Don’t know how thick you can get, but I guess you should try around 1.50 mm or 2.0 mm
Picks aren’t expensive, so just pick up as many as you like
Try them all till you find one you like
