I need to know a few things about the guitar. Whats the difference between 2 humbuckers and 2 single coils and 1 humbuck? Does the fretboard wood affect how the guitar is played? What is a double locking tremolo? and What is a locking nut for and do the different sizes matter?(ex. 42 mm, 43 mm, 44 mm)
Single coil pickups are usually used closer to the the neck…and humbuckers back towards the bridge. If there is two single coiled pickups and one humbucker, there are a whole lot more tones you can choose from…Single coils near the neck have a warmer tone to them…While humbuckers…have a more bright tone to them. I use dual humbuckers on my favorite guitar(one at neck one at the bridge) Schecter C-1 Elite
The fretboard wood does not affect how you play…unless it’s a scalloped neck and I’m not even sure that a scalloped neck affects it either. There are different thinkness’ to the neck…I like a thicker neck…easier for bigger hands IMO…opposed to a thinner neck…all depends on your playing style.
A double locking tremelo is a non-fixed bridge that locks one end of the string at the bridge into place via set screw and locks the other strings down by the *locking nut*( At end of neck and beginning of the headstock). The locking nut helps to keep the strings in tune as you use the tremelo. I couldnt say for sure but I dont think the size matters…locking nuts pretty much have a universal thread to the set screws.
