Distortion Pedal question?
hello, I am looking for some advice on a good distortion pedal to buy. I already own the digitech grunge pedal, I like but it seems to wild, i cant play anything lightly distorted with it, and besides power chords, chords sound terrible through this thing.
guns n roses has such a clean, controlled distortion, i want that sound!
so, i want a pedal that can go from light to heavy distortion. i want the sound of these bands:
pearl jam
oasis
kiss
blink 182
guns n roses
aerosmith
ac/dc
etc…so, WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?
Well a lot of the bands you mentioned don’t even use pedals, they just use the distored/lead channel on their amps…Marshalls and Mesa Boogies are good for that.
But if you really want a versatile pedal I would look into BOSS for sure. I highly recommend the DD-20, it has pretty much every distortion pedal they make all in one pedal, you can find just about any sound you want…especially ones that will sound good with open chords.
