guitar amp advice needed!!?
ok so i’m looking to get a new amp, as i have out-grown my old amp (a solid state marshall) as it just couldn’t be heard when playing with a drummer. thing is, there’s too much choice out there!
i’ve narrowed it down to wanting a valve combo amp. i’ve been looking at both the fender deluxe reverb and the vox ac30, both of which seem amazing. i’m not really interested in having an overdrive channel, as i’m using pedals for that. if anyone has any advice, it would be much appreciated!Man that’s a tough call. Both are incredible amps. They do have very different tones, I really prefer the Fender a bit myself, partially because of it’s awesome reverb. The AC-30 is a beast to haul around also. Honestly, you cannot go wrong either way, but I just prefer the Fender by a little bit. I own VOX, Fender, Orange, and a few others and DRRI is a great sounding Fender reissue. It and the Princeton are two of the best RI models Fender makes.
