what size amp for my guitar?
I’m doing my first concert with my acoustic guitar for school and i have no idea how big of an amp i’ll need. We’re playing in a cafeteria and i’m worried i’ll get something too small so any suggestions?
Well, can you shout and be heard? I think a very loud shout is not quite 5 watts. But, 5 watts at higher frequencies can be heard much easier than lower frequencies.
If the room was full of noisy people, that makes a difference as well, or if they are all quite and polite.
Amps these days seem to come around 15,30 and 75. I think 15 woujld be fine, but if you want to play with others later on, get 30. I would turn the bass down, to prevent feedback.
