would an amp head work with a normal guitar amplifier?
im gettin a peavy tube head for xmas, its all i can afford, i have a normal combo amp, uintil i can afford a cab to go with it, would they work together?
They would work together if;
A – you use the line out from your head to your combo and not the speaker jack.
or
B – you can disconnect the speaker on your combo and go directly into it from the head.
If you choose to use the line out then you are not going to get the exact sound of the amp head as it will be changed by the combo amp. If you choose to go directly into the speaker then watch out if you go too loud as it might not be rated highly enough for a more powerful amplifier.
