Why do some classical guitars have two pieces of white plastic on its bridge?
Looking at some classical nylon string guitars i noticed they have two pieces of white plastic after the saddle on the bridge. Im just curious on why some don’t and some have what’s the point of it. Thanks in advance you guys
Is there any reason you didn’t include some sample photos?
I’m assuming you’re thinking of the bone bridge piece, which is there to provide a solid (and replaceable) spot for the strings to arch over. The extra tension it provides results in richer tone and increased tuning stability.
I’ve never seen a guitar without it… unless somebody didn’t know what they were doing and strung up their guitar without one.
