is it possible to change the strings of a classical (nylon) guitar to steel?
I want to change the strings on an acoustic guitar from nylon to steel. Im not sure if you can due to the bridge or something.
Is it possible to get a bridge with steel strings fitted ???
As others have already pointed out, you will ruin your guitar. I simply want to add that changing the bridge is not nearly enough since the inside of the guitar is not braced strongly enough for the tension of steel strings. Even if the bridge was glued so tightly that it didn’t rip off, the top of the guitar would simply warp and render the guitar unplayable.
Your best bet is to start saving for a steel string acoustic guitar.
