  I want to write commercials for businesses and use music in the background. Whats the best LEGAL way? HELP!?
  

  I am interested in writing commercials for local broadcasting. I would like to use “MUSIC” in the background of my commercials.
  I need to know how I can LEGALLY use copywrited songs for my background music. My clients would pick out the material I would use in their recordings, then I would use their ad copy to make the commercials. I would then Make CD’s and mail them to clients.
  I applied for ASCAP and BMI being that I am a musician and also write my own music..however I am interested in using top 40 and classic rock in my commercials..I just want to do it legally..thank you!
