what kind of strings did my acoustic have?
so i got a guitar about 2 or 3 months ago.
and i loved the strings it had on it, i have a fender acoustic/eletric dg-11e
the strings were all steel.
i didnt know the brand though or anything /:
but the other day my guitar got tooken to a music store to get the strings changed and the guy ended up putting martin strings, poshpor bronze, and i ABSOLUTELY HATE THEM, they sound really loud and ughhh, ewhh.do u thing the old strings might have been like elixir?
or acoustic/electric strings?!please help me.
Funny, because Martin phosphor bronze strings are excellent strings. Clearly they are not to your liking. I very much doubt that your guitar came with Elixir strings as they tend to come on more expensive guitars like Taylors.
Your best bet is to contact Fender customer support and ask them what strings your guitar came with. Since Fender makes strings (actually, they don’t make them, they just market them) I’d guess that your guitar came with Fender strings. Possibly one of these:

Another way to go is to keep trying different strings until you find your favorite. Try D’Addario, GHS, Elixir, and others. Good luck.
