Why does my guitar sound out of tune?
Let start with mentioning that I’m a beginner. I have a Squier by Fender parlor guitar. I just bought a Qwik Tune Auto Guitar and Bass Tuner. I lined up the needle until the light turned green on all the strings, but when I played the basic major chords (no capo) they sounded very bad. I also tried tuning them by plucking at the 12th fret instead of the sound hole, but it still sounds out of tune.
What should I do?
Because it’s a new guitar the strings will detune very quickly. just put up with it for a bit and eventually it will stay in tune. If the problem persists after at least a week then change the strings.
