Fender telecaster bass custom?
I got this wild idea, I want a telecaster bass, the telecaster GUITAR shape, not the original bass shape.
Yknow, the shape that andy summers and bruce springstee uses, but with bass pickups and a bass neck, strings. ect.
Now, is there a custom shop that would make this? How might my dream be brought to reality?It is surely doable although you won’t simply be able to take a Tele body and just slap a bass neck and pick ups on it. Craiglist.org might be a good place to advertise to find a luthier or wood worker who could make the body for you. Also check out some guitar and bass magazines like Guitar and Bass Player and check the back where the ads are. It is a very doable project……………
