Which end of a guitar strap goes to which end of the guitar?
I just got a new guitar strap for my bass, a kind I’ve never used before. One end is fat like any other strap, the other end is thin and it threads through the thick part of the strap like a belt to adjust its length.
So does the fat end of the strap attach to the neck end button or the bridge end button? I’ve tried it both ways and it doesn’t seem any different as far as stability or comfort, so I imagine it’s a style decision…
You want the thin end to be higher. Because of the angle more weight is resting on the bottom and you want the thicker portion there
