I need help with Bass guitar picking?
is it ok if when i hold the pick i hold it with my index finger and my middle finger at the bottom and thumb on top?
Yes,Hold the pick however it feels natural in your fingers.But,if you are holding it so as to restrict the pivot of your wrist thus affecting your speed you may want to try holding it differently.especially if you plan to learn the 6 string guitar at some point. If you are going to use a pick on Bass guitar you may want to use a very thick pick.Dunlop made a 2.0 MM pick that was dark purple colored,i’d guess they still do.They work really well for bass.If your just beginning to play,you may want to look up techniques for bass,most players pluck with bare fingers,or use a “slap” style to play.
