How much do you think guitar center would let me trade these in for?
I have two bass amps and I want to sell one but i wanna hear someones guestimation on how much GC would let me get for them. i could take them right now but GC is kinda far away from me and the amps are heavy as you know what
One is a CrateBX100 15inch 100W (one missing knob)

Most music stores do not like to buy used gear for several reasons. They often have the same gear brand new and do not need to buy used gear that they might not be able to sell. I have worked in many music stores and I can attest to the fact that music stores will only give you a very small amount of money for the equipment. Lets use the Behringer amp as an example. Brand new cost is $250. That means that the MOST they can charge for a used amp $125. (used items sell for about half OR LESS)
and only if it is in great condition. The music store MIGHT be willing to give you the full $125 as a discount on another new item but they will not PAY that much for the used amp. (thats about what a brand new one costs them! Then they mark it up to make a profit) So they have no incentive to pay that much for a used amp. They MIGHT be willing to give you about 1/4 or less of the new price, and only if it is in brand new condition! Any dings, dents, or missing knobs is usually a deal breaker.
So you might be able to get $50 for either amp but not much more than that. You are much better to try and use them both as a trade in for a newer, better bass amp. Like an Ampeg or a GK or a Trace Elliot,etc.
The way to get the most money out of the gear is to sell it yourself to a private party. Put an ad on craigs list or E-bay or put it in the local “penny saver”
