Was there ever a red stratocaster with a rosewood neck?
I’m converting my squier strat to a fender strat. I’m upgrading the pickups, strings, neck, etc. Was there ever a red fender stratocaster with a rosewood neck or did the red strats only come wiht maple necks? All the vintage red strats i’ve seen have maple necks. Reason i’m asking is I can get a good deal on a rosewood neck. also, what type of single coil pickups do you recommend to get that true fender strat sound? Thanx!!!
I think I was looking at used guitars, not long ago, on the Guitar Center website and saw a candy apple red metallic Strat with a rosewood fret board.
You might consider selling what you have and buying a used US-made strat. It might be cheaper than what you’re planning to do.
