I need to know how much my guitar is worth for free?
I have a Gibson SJ 200 Limited Edition Acoustic Guitar. It has a Adirondack Red Spruce Top and Hawaiian Koa sides and back. It is #9 of 50 made in 2007. Serial Number 02767009, I have the certificate to prove it.
Sounds like a great guitar. Take it to several different music shops and tell them you would like to know a ball park figure for the value for insurance purposes. Whatever the average value happens to be is a little bit below what the insured value should be. If this is a limited edition guitar the value can increase (or decrease depending on condition, etc.) every year but in two years it probably hasn’t gone up much. And if you just don’t want it anymore just send it to me!
btw: the Adirondack spruce top adds to the value – it is getting harder and harder to find.
