Should I use A Plectrum (pick) when playing Guitar?
I am an early teen and I play guitar, wouldn’t call myself a beginner to the entire scene but have recentley started with electric. With acoustic I only ever use my fingers but my “band” have told me I would get a better sound on barre chords with a plectrum. Somebody help me!
I haven’t heard plectrum since I was a little ‘fella! It all depends on the sound your looking for,I play and teach bass and use both methods to get the sound I want. I take it your playing a six string so if your after a crisp jazzy sound use a stiff pick and strum.If your more of the rocker type crank up your gain and use a pick for both notation and strumming. Either way PRACTICE!
