Is it necessary to know how to play an acoustic guitar in order to play bass guitar?
I started to learn how to play an acoustic guitar a month ago but I want to play bass guitar at the end. Do I need to know how to play acoustic before bass
No you don’t. Bass guitar is actually a totally different instrument. Maybe looks the same, sometimes has the same count of strings but it’s different.
But it’s a good thing that you’re training your fingers. When playing the bass, you have to stretch your fingers much wider, and I advice you to learn fingering, picking, plucking and slapping on the bass. Just cover the important basics.
