5 string acoustic bass help?
I’d like to get an acoustic bass for Christmas, and I was thinking of going for 5 strings, an extra higher string (EADGC) would be pretty sweet for chords and such.
So on an acoustic bass, do I need different strings than my electric? If so, where could I custom order a C string? Any recommended acoustic basses under 250?
No, it can be a C string, you aren’t limited to adding a low string. It’s basically a 6 string without the low B.You may want to get bronze wrapped strings (instead of nickel wrapped), but it’s up to you.
What’s the highest string in a light set of bass strings? .045? Just buy a single .038, you don’t need to custom order anything.
